Cardboard vs. Bins

Cardboard boxes are more cost effective to start, however, the overall benefits of bins out weighs the investment. It combines convenience and environmental consciousness.  They’re durable, water-resistant, clean, sanitized, spacious, and free from bacteria, mold, and bugs. Best of all, they’re eco-friendly. No need to drive around from store to store or dive into dumpsters searching for boxes. Our bins come right to your door, pre-assembled and ready to use. Say goodbye to worrying about chemicals, bed bugs, pet dander, or bacteria—our totes provide a hassle-free solution.”

Even when cardboard is recycled, it can be rejected if it has too much tape on it. Plus, all that tape ends up as waste, contributing to environmental issues. The cardboard and tape that aren’t recycled often end up in incinerators or landfills.

Recycling cardboard also consumes a significant amount of energy, fuel, and water. The process impacts the environment negatively, as trees are cut down to produce cardboard, which is then often discarded. Cardboard constitutes up to 10% of urban landfills, and recycling it requires 75% of the energy needed to produce new cardboard.

When cardboard is recycled, only 40% of it is used to create new cardboard, while the remaining 60% becomes unusable sludge. This sludge is either burned, releasing CO2 emissions, or dumped in landfills. So, cardboard recycling isn’t as environmentally friendly as it might seem.

That’s why we strongly recommend renting our Moving Totes instead of using cardboard boxes.

Cardboard is typically good for just 1-3 uses before ending up in the discard pile. While some cardboard can be recycled, a whopping 75% of it ultimately finds its way to landfills. In contrast, our bins are exceptionally eco-friendly and have a significantly longer lifespan. Plus, they’re made from existing plastic material. You can rest knowing you won’t find our bins contributing to landfill waste—we recycle our Plastic Bins 100% of the time.”

Questions Before Booking

We’re happy to adjust your rental dates if we can. Just call, text, or email us to request a change. If you need a longer rental period, click here to extend it. If you haven’t received your order and want to shorten the rental period, we’ll refund the difference. If you’ve already received your order, we can change to an earlier pick-up date, but no refunds will be given. If we can’t accommodate your request, please check the Cancellations section. Make sure to inform us at least 48 hours before your delivery.

If your rental period needs to be longer than what is offered in our standard rental package just let us know, it should not be a problem!

The bins measure 27 inches in length, 17 inches in width, and 13 inches in height.  They boast a generous capacity of 75 liters—they’re not too big or too small  but a good size to pack just enough.  Remember, the bigger the tote, the heavier it becomes!

If you need to cancel, we offer full refunds for cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance of your rental period. For more details, take a peek at our comprehensive Rental Agreement.

While we’d love to offer bins for purchase, they are only available for rental. Unfortunately, buying just a couple of bins isn’t feasible due to our minimum order quantity, which typically involves several hundred totes. Plus, these sturdy containers can be quite pricey, especially when designed for commercial use. For everyday residential needs, you’re better off checking out Home Depot—they’ve got you covered!

You can book anytime you want, however, the earlier the better to ensure we have enough inventory to fulfill your needs.

We understand life happens If you need to reschedule no worries! You can adjust your booking.

Our bin packages start at a minimum of 2 week rentals.  Per our experience it typically takes that long to pack up leading up your moving date, then it typically takes another 1-2 weeks to unpack. If there are unexpected delays, you can always extend your rental if needed.
